about

Curvey:
I had heard a story on NPR about how popular the drug heroin was becoming with suburban school kids because it was cheap and easy to get. It kind of blew my mind. I’ve always been straight edge myself and say to each his own, but I don’t think its wise to mess with anything that’s highly addictive and can kill you. Personally I think the only drug you should use that involves a needle is vinyl records. That’s the track. Mark played bass and I play everything else on this one.
-Excerpt from Mick Dillingham's interview on Art Into Dust (September 2013)

lyrics

The party started to climb
The curtains wouldn’t unwind
The clock was having a time
She said, “How can you be so dumb?”
We liked the records she spins
Her candles burned at both ends
Her enemies liked her friends
Then we said, “Why is your signal drifting in and out?”
Super phantasmal heroine
She loves you and then you’re dead again
Super phantasmal heroine
The party starts to come down
The curtains all were unwound
The clock was wearing a frown
And she said, “How can you be so dumb?”
We watched the film of a play
Lived for tomorrow today
The ones who came went away
Then we said, “Why is your volume drifting in and out?”
